My life has no purpose, no direction, no aim, no meaning, and yet I'm happy. I can't figure it out.

No Going Back !!
"It matters not how or when, old friend. We are set on the path now and now there is no going back."
From the book Owl Killers
Life is like that. There is no ctrl-z. One impulsive decision , one impulsive moment can change everything , destroy universe or create new universe( as in Poelo Coelho's The Winner Stands Alone ). That moment defines the rest of your life. Even if you don't want to follow the path defined by the moment , you might have to keep going on that path just because of that particular moment .
It doesn't makes sense to feel guilty or sorry about that moment. Just make best use of the path on which one is treading.
May-17th : Now as I look back ( with uninformed insights from lot of other people ) , I am convinced that I did the right thing by controlling my self control and allowing my impulsiveness to take driver's seat. I had spent lot of my hours worrying about the fairness of that decision. The decision which I took at that instant was a correct decision and among the best decisions I ever took.I know ,It would and it did made me dirty as a pig rolling about in a lake of mud but then u cannot take care of the mess without becoming dirty .

Another one for me
My list of conquests:
- Maharashtra
- West Bengal
- Rajasthan
- Gujurat
- Orissa
- Delhi
- Punjab
- Karnataka
- Kerala
Another indian state in my pouch. This time it was Punjab . I met a desi fellow in a car shop near my house and he on his own asked me whether I was from Punjab :).
This came after KJ's wife asked me whether I was from Gujurat . But i have been identified as Gujju before .
That reminds me of the time , I was sitting with KJ gorging on some Indian sweets . We were comparing our experiences in India when we make our yearly visits and as I was cribbing about the 4 hrs i spend reaching my house from the airport. He asks me why I had gone to kerala during my India visit, I replied that my parents stay over there to which he asks whether my Dad is working in Kerala to which I replied Dad has retired and he has got a house in kerala to which he replies why did my parents had a house in Kerala instead of their *native* place to which I replied , our native place is Kerala. And what followed was a stunned expression of KJ's face. After a minute of silence where I imagined him to be analyzing and churning on the recent piece of information given by me. He asked me whether I was playing some trick on him. As i was pondering on whether to show him my passport or the birth certificate , HP and his Mrs came by and KJ popped the question to them .

My Golden Words .....
So today while I was chatting with one of my friends and while chatting i passed some golden words .. it was at that time i realized it is high time for me to lay claim on my golden words rather than letting some other person pass them of as their own .. so from now onwards ( feb 11 2009 12:18 AM EST ) , i will be putting all my golden words over here for future generations to benefit from my wisdom ....
ppl only after coming to US realize how cold cold can be
Nitin - feb 11 2009
Btw please not the extremely professional way in which i had marked the date. This will remove all confusions on exactly when I gave this words of Wisdom ..
Another one .. this one came when i was discussing the world financial mess with one of my friends , a upcoming fin whiz and he was complaining about how we pathetic humans exploit the world and its resources and all the normal s**t ... and then made reference to the famous hindi quote about hen which lays the golden egg ... at that time i made another of the golden quotes in hindi ...
jab tak murgi hai , ande khaoo ..
murgi marri to murgi ko cook karke khaoo
This basically refers to the hen or the goose which lays the Golden eggs and how we should be smart enough to exploit it in the smartest possible way so as to ensure that goose or hen or whatever it is gets fully content from getting exploited ..
As long as hen is there enjoy the eggs ,
the moment hen is gone , cook the hen and make a sumptuous meal
Nitin-feb 16 2009
Btw please note the extremely professional way , i translated the quote from hindi to english

And so with Yahoo360 down , on a thursday evening I was wondering how to resurrect my blog . I had taken enough backups so as ensure that none of my Golden Words are lost ... And while i ,with a evil gleam in my eyes was wondering myself to oblivion , I thought why not make use of this blogspot .. well the risks were there , the biggest one being these people also deciding to shutdown the way yahoo did. But that doesn't means that world should be deprived of my literary gems .. And so with that i created my meaningless pursuit on blogspot and while penning down my first blog entry on blogspot , my literary fountain which was so ruthlessly crushed by the greedy yahoo management bubbled out like fizz coming out of a can of sprite and I wrote :
In between my honest pursuit to be a good person and my penchant of taking the easier way out by doing some evil deed
Nitin - 08/13/2009
ps : Old timers to my blog ( eg KPC ) will recall this post to be continuation of the famous My Quotable Quotes entry on Yahoo 360
